Investigation launched after multiple vehicles damaged by fire - Warwick Farm

Police are appealing for information in relation to a fire in the carpark of a South Western Sydney apartment complex in the early hours of this morning.

About 3am (Thursday 18 July 2019), emergency services responded after fire sprinklers were activated in an apartment complex on Browne Parade, Warwick Farm.

On arrival, Fire and Rescue NSW officers located at least three vehicles on fire in the underground carpark.

Residents were evacuated from the two buildings as a precaution. There have been no reports of injuries.

Once the fire was extinguished, police established a crime scene, which is being examined by specialist forensic officers.

Officers from Liverpool City Police Area Command have commenced an investigation, with initial inquiries indicating the fire was deliberately lit.

Investigators have spoken with numerous residents and will continue to canvass the area throughout the day.

As their inquiries continue, detectives are appealing for witnesses to come forward and are particularly keen to speak with anyone who may have noticed suspicious activity in the area in the lead-up to the fire.
