Investigation underway after man seriously assaulted at Lurnea, NSW

Police are investigating after two men were assaulted, one seriously at Lurnea overnight.

Just after 11.30pm (Wednesday 9 January 2019), emergency services were called to the carpark of Amalfi Memorial Park on Reilly Street, after reports two men had been assaulted.

Officers from Liverpool City Police Area Command attended and found a 21-year-old man seriously injured and a 22-year-old man with minor injuries.

Both men were treated by paramedics and taken to Liverpool Hospital in a stable condition.

A crime scene was established, and police will speak to the men when their condition permits.
