Investigation underway following armed robbery in Petersham

Police are investigating the armed robbery of a hotel at Petersham today, NSW Police say.

Just before 11am today, a man entered the hotel on Terminus Street and threatened a female staff member with a firearm.

He fled with cash from the register.

No shots were fired and no one was injured during the incident.

Police were alerted and officers from Marrickville Local Area Command attended, established a crime scene and conducted a search of the area.

An investigation is underway and police are appealing for public assistance to identify and locate the man involved.

He’s described as being of Caucasian appearance and approximately 170cm tall. He was wearing a blue hooded jumper and black pants.

Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers.
