Investigations commence following armed robbery in Toongabbie

Investigations are underway following an armed robbery in Sydney’s west, NSW Police say.

Police were called to a licensed premises on Aurelia Street, Toongabbie, about 12.30am tomorrow, following reports of a robbery.

It will be alleged two men, armed with knives, entered the venue and threatened staff. The two men demanded cash, and staff complied handing over a sum of money, before the men fled the scene.

Officers attached to Holroyd Local Area Command with the assistance of the Dog Unit conducted a search of the area.

An investigation commenced and police would like to speak to two men who might be able to assist with their inquiries.

Both men are described as being about 183cm tall and of thin to medium build. The two men were last seen wearing a dark blue hooded jumpers, gloves and balaclavas.

Police are urging anyone with information or who may have witnessed the incident to contact Crime Stoppers.
