Investigations underway following robbery and pursuit in Sutherland

Police are investigating following a robbery and pursuit in Sydney’s south overnight, NSW Police say.

About 11pm today, a 23-year-old pizza delivery driver was assaulted and robbed by three men in Gray Street near Park St, Sutherland.

The 23-year-old delivery driver suffered minor injuries during the incident and was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance Paramedics.

Police were told two men ran off along Gray Street while the third stole the man’s car, a Toyota Yaris, which contained cash, a mobile phone and other personal items.

The two men then re-joined the third man in the car near Eton Street and President Avenue.

A short time later, the Toyota was sighted by police on the Hume Highway at Liverpool where a pursuit was engaged but was terminated due to public safety concerns.

The stolen Toyota was located in Quest Avenue, Carramar and secured for forensic analysis.

Investigators would like to speak with three men who may be able to assist with inquiries.

The three men are described as being of Aboriginal / Torres Strait Islander in appearance, aged between 16-20 years old and were wearing baseball caps.
