Investigators release CCTV following St Kilda stabbing

Port Phillip Crime Investigation Unit detectives have released CCTV following a stabbing in St Kilda on 26 September, Victoria Police say.

Police were told a woman was approached by an unknown male on Inkerman Street near Market Street about 2.20am.

The man made demands for cash.

During the confrontation, the woman received a number of stab-wounds before the man fled in foot toward Barkley Street.

The woman was transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Detectives have released CCTV of a man they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries.

He is described as having a distinctive bald patch with a pony tail.

Anyone who witnessed the incident or may know the identity of the men is urged to contact Crime Stoppers.
