The Territory Labor Government has awarded $170,000 over 3years to the Freds Pass Rural Show - supporting an important community focusedevent in the Territory.
This important funding will go towards the:
- 50km Feast, an evening event that celebrateslocal produce sources from 50km of Freds Pass Reserve and includes dinner bynationally recognised local chefs and a charity auction fundraiser;
- Enhanced Paddock to Plate, showcasing aspects ofthe rural areas agricultural, horticultural, organic farming, native plant andbush tucker industries; and
- Major entertainment and displays.
The Freds Pass Rural Show has been bringing the communitytogether for 40 years, supporting tourism, industry and the local economy.
The Northern Territory Government is backing this, and manyother local events, through the Community Benefit Fund Major Community EventsOrganisation Grant program.
