Irrigation Upgrades Begin at Wakool's Cook Street Reserve

Murray River Council

Murray River Council will commence irrigation upgrade works along the Cook Street Road Reserve in Wakool from mid-January.

The project will involve the installation of a fully automated irrigation system, improving the long-term maintenance and presentation of the reserve.

On-site works are expected to take approximately four weeks to complete.

Mayor, Cr John Harvie said the upgrade would support healthier green spaces for the Wakool community.

"This project will improve the efficiency and reliability of irrigation at the Cook Street Road Reserve, helping to maintain the area for community use while also making better use of water resources," he said.

During the works, sections of the reserve may be temporarily fenced off to allow safe access for workers and equipment.

"We thank residents for their patience while these improvements are carried out and ask people to take note of any temporary fencing in place," Cr Harvie said.
