Is your business Digital Ready? 2 July

Michael Ferguson,Minister for Science and Technology

The Tasmanian Liberal Government is committed to supporting Tasmanians to grow their digital skills and helping businesses better compete in the digital economy.

In response to popular demand, the Digital Ready for Business program has now doubled the amount of free one-on-one digital business coaching hours available to Tasmanian small businesses.

The program is empowering Tasmanian businesses to take their next steps online with free digital business coaching, informative presentations and a resource-packed website.

As we enter a new financial year, now is the perfect time for businesses to take stock of their digital footprint, and consider taking up four hours of digital coaching provided by a state-wide network of highly experienced and award winning digital coaches.

A recent addition, the program now includes access to a specialist small business cyber-security advisor to offer expertise to help small to medium Tasmanian businesses to understand and mitigate their cyber risk.

Businesses can book their session with one of our digital coaches through the Digital Ready for Business website at digitalready.tas.gov.au or by ringing the Digital Ready for Business hotline on 1800 955 660.

In the first six months of 2021, almost 340 businesses have already received a combined 800-plus hours of digital business coaching with the most popular topics covered being websites, e-commerce, booking systems, social media, search engine optimisation, online content development, advertising, online tools and digital strategy.
