James Ruse Drive closed in both directions at Rosehill due to chemical spill

National Road Transport Association

James Ruse Drive is closed in both directions through Rosehill due to a chemical spill between Parramatta Road and Hassall Street.

Motorists travelling south on James Ruse Drive are being diverted on to the M4 to travel east.

Motorists travelling in either direction on Parramatta Road are unable to turn on to James Ruse Drive to travel north.

The M4 westbound off-ramp to James Ruse Drive is also closed.

Traffic on Parramatta Road is very heavy in both directions.

Motorists who want to travel north or south should consider using Silverwater Road as an alternative.

Motorists are also advised to allow plenty of extra travel time and follow the directions of police and emergency services on site.

Buses through the area are also diverting and may be delayed.
