Monday, 10 November 2025: Jetstar will embark on its biggest ever expansion out of Melbourne Avalon Airport by launching new international flights to Bali, restarting flights to Adelaide, and adding more services to Brisbane.
This major expansion will add more than 330,000 new low-fares seats annually in and out of Melbourne's second airport gateway, helping local customers take off more to new destinations, while attracting tourists to support Victoria's economic development.
Jetstar's new Bali service will be the airline's first ever international route from Melbourne Avalon, marking a milestone for the airport's largest carrier.
Melbourne Avalon sale fares
To celebrate, Jetstar is having a sale on all Melbourne Avalon routes for 48 hours from midday today, with domestic fares starting from $29^ and fares to Bali from as low as $199^.

Melbourne Avalon to Bali
Starting on 23 March 2026, Jetstar will operate five return flights a week between Melbourne Avalon and Bali (Denpasar), aboard Jetstar's modern Airbus A321LR aircraft, adding over 120,000 seats a year in and out of one of Australia's favourite overseas holiday destinations.
With a direct flight time of just over 6 hours, the new service offers a convenient option for customers across Melbourne, Geelong, the Surf Coast and Bellarine Peninsula to enjoy Bali's beaches, culture, and hospitality.
The new Bali route is Jetstar's eleventh direct service from Australia to the Indonesian holiday island following the recent launch of flights from Sunshine Coast, Newcastle and the Gold Coast.
Melbourne Avalon to Adelaide and more seats to Brisbane
Up to seven return flights between Melbourne Avalon and Adelaide will commence on 26 March 2026, reconnecting two key cities and offering up to 109,000 seats a year on the route.
Additionally, Jetstar will introduce up to five extra weekly flights to Brisbane, boosting capacity by up to another 107,000 a year between Melbourne Avalon and Queensland's capital.
New Transport Victoria bus to Melbourne Avalon
The Victorian Government has announced a new Route 18 service will connect the airport to nearby Lara Station seven days a week, providing an easy and affordable way for customers and workers to reach Melbourne Avalon Airport and the employment precinct.
The new Route 18 bus route will launch in coming months and complement existing Skybus and MyBus transfer services to the airport.
