Jewellery and safe recovered after break-in, SA

Two people were arrested yesterday following an investigation into a break-in at Mawson Lakes earlier this week, according to SA Police.

Thousands of dollars worth of property, including car keys, house keys, jewellery, electrical items and a safe were stolen during a break-in at a Mawson Lakes home on Tuesday 20 December. The house was ransacked and left in a poor state.

The victims spotted a Pandora bracelet and charms, identical to the one stolen, advertised for sale on Gumtree and alerted police.

Yesterday, Elizabeth police attended addresses at Paralowie and Parafield Gardens and located a substantial amount of stolen property including the Pandora bracelet and a safe.

A 25-year-old Parafield Gardens man was arrested and charged with serious criminal trespass and theft. He was refused police bail and will appear in the Elizabeth Magistrates Court today.

An 18-year-old Paralowie woman was reported for theft and receiving and will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.
