A major upgrade project to replace Jindabyne's Sewer Pump Station #6 is set to get underway by Friday 23 January 2026, funded by the NSW Government's Regional Growth NSW Development Corporation as part of the Snowy Mountains Special Activation Precinct (SAP).

This joint project is delivering the essential infrastructure Jindabyne needs today and to serve the growing community and tourism industry in the years ahead.

With the new Jindabyne Education Campus approaching completion, there is an immediate need to boost the capacity of the local sewer network.

Council has appointed ABC Civil Group as the contractor for the upcoming works, following a competitive tender process undertaken between August 2025 and October 2025.

Entirely funded by the NSW Government and delivered by Council, the upgrade project will see Jindabyne Sewer Pump Station #6 replaced with a completely new facility on the same site.

There will be no interruption to local sewer services while upgrades are underway. The current facility will continue operating as normal until the new pump station is ready to take over operations.

The completion of this new pump station will ensure that Jindabyne's sewer network is fit for the future.

Council will issue regular community updates throughout this important project.
