Job Assistance Boost for Frankston, Broadmeadows

The Albanese Labor Government, in collaboration with the Victorian Allan Labor Government, are supporting employment hubs being delivered in Victoria, to help more Victorians into work.

The Australian and Victorian Governments are co-investing $1 million each for the Brotherhood of St Laurence to extend the delivery of Thrive Hubs in Broadmeadows and Frankston.

The initiative was first launched by the Victorian Government as a pilot and this extension recognises the success of the hub model and the positive employment outcomes it has delivered.

Thrive Hubs are community-based, people-centred services in the Frankston and Broadmeadows regions which are open to Victorians who want support in the search for employment, and who have full working rights in Australia.

Thrive Hubs provide services to enhance an individual's capacity for employment or further education.

This support is customised and based on specific assistance needed by community members.

By working with local employers, they create employment opportunities and allow tailoring of jobs leading to sustainable employment.

Thrive Hubs act as a comprehensive resource centre which connects individuals to services, including access to training pathways, links into local employers and organisations, and other support.
