Jogger critical after being struck by car - Busby

A man is in a critical condition after being hit by a car while jogging in Sydney's west yesterday.

Around 5.55pm (Wednesday 20 May 2020), emergency services were called to Rundle Road in Busby after reports a pedestrian had been hit by a car.

Officers attached to Liverpool City Police Area Command attended, along with NSW Ambulance paramedics, who treated a 20-year-old man for head injuries.

Police were told the man – who was out jogging - was struck by a Nissan Pulsar while on the roadway.

The 20-year-old, from Heckenberg, was taken to Liverpool Hospital in a serious condition, where he is currently undergoing surgery.

The driver of the car, a 76-year-old man from Bonnyrigg Heights, was also taken to Liverpool Hospital for mandatory testing.

A crime scene was established and the circumstances surrounding the incident is underway.
