A Katoomba man has come forward to claim his $1 million Weekday Windfall prize, revealing his division one win landed on his birthday.
The New South Wales player held one of the two division one winning entries nationally in Weekday Windfall draw 4732 on Wednesday 22 July 2026. Each division one winning entry pocketed $1 million.
The man hadn't registered his entry to The Lott Members Club so we had been eagerly waiting for him to check his ticket and come forward.
"Unbelievable!" he cried when speaking to us.
"I only checked my ticket this morning! It's a shock.
"It hasn't sunk in yet.
"It was actually my birthday yesterday and that's when I won this. It's pretty amazing to become a millionaire on your birthday.
"This will do me a lot of good at the moment.
"It will set me up and I'll be able to retire!
"It's been a big day!"
His winning entry was purchased at Katoomba Newsagency, Shop 1, 101 Katoomba Street, Katoomba.
Katoomba Newsagency owner Simardeep Singh said he was thrilled to see another big win land in town.
"We sold a Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot ticket that won $6 million in 2020, and a Saturday Lotto division one winning entry worth $839,258.75," he said.
"When I woke up this morning and saw the results, I was so excited that my shop had sold another winning ticket.
"I think our customers will be thrilled to hear the news. They'll be happy to know a division one winning entry was sold right here in their local newsagency.
