Police are searching for the owner of a kayak that has been located in Port Phillip Bay off the coast of Point Wilson.
Police were notified of the unmanned blue Wavedance kayak about 12.20pm and have been conducting searches of surrounding waters.
A pair of runners and two golf balls were found in the kayak.
Police do not know who the owner of the kayak is and request they come forward.
No one has been reported missing at this stage.
Water Police and the police Air Wing helicopter are continuing to search off the coast.
Police would like to speak to anyone who saw the kayak recently or who has information about the owner to contact police.
Anyone with information is urged to contact Water Police on 9399-7500.
