Keeping Play In Motion

Ever wonder who keeps Knox's 230 playgrounds safe and ready for adventure?

Our dedicated maintenance team is out and about all year round, inspecting every playground across Knox, caring for and enhancing our community spaces.

Each week, our certified inspectors visit around 75 neighbourhood playgrounds, checking and maintaining play equipment, soft fall surfaces, fences and gates, as well as removing litter and cleaning seats and BBQ areas.

Our large, high use playgrounds including Bayswater Park, Quarry Reserve and Tim Neville Arboretum receive weekly checks.

To limit disruption and prioritise safety, our team carries out repairs on the spot when possible. More complex issues or damage caused by vandalism or storms are followed up within 1 to 2 business days.

With the cooler weather providing ideal conditions for maintenance, you might spot our crews carrying out extra repairs and inspections to ensure playgrounds are in top shape for the warmer months ahead.

See something that needs attention? Report it through our website and help us keep Knox's playgrounds great for everyone.
