The ReUse Shop at the Kempsey Waste Management Centre on Crescent Head Road has temporarily closed while Council undertakes a review of the facility to improve public and staff safety.
The decision was made last week to close the shop on Friday 22 July to ensure the safety and wellbeing of staff and residents using the facility.
The review of Waste Management Centre operations will provide recommendations to improve safety and convenience for visitors to the site. It is anticipated that the shop will reopen as soon as the review recommendations are implemented.
