Kensington car theft

Police are investigating a car theft and subsequent petrol theft which occurred in Rockbank last month.

Investigators have been told a white coloured Honda Civic hatchback was parked near the corner of Bateman Road and The Crescent in Kensington on 19 September.

Two offenders attended the street and used a second vehicle to push start the Honda and steal it around 7.15am.

It's believed the stolen Honda was driven to a Rockbank petrol station where the driver stole a quantity of fuel on 21 September.

The stolen vehicle was located burnt out in Melton on 23 September.

Police are looking for two people in relation to the theft of the vehicle.

One of the offenders is described as male, Caucasian, approximately 180cm tall with black hair, seen wearing a black jumper and black pants.

There is no description of the second offender.

Investigators have released CCTV of a man that they believe may be able to assist with their enquires.
