Kew theft from motor vehicle and deceptions

Boroondara Crime Investigation Unit detectives are appealing for public assistance after items were stolen from a car parked in Walpole Street, Kew, Victoria Police say.

The victim’s car was parked outside a residential address at approximately 5am on 7 October.

A man approached the car and smashed the driver’s side window and has taken the victim’s wallet containing a credit card.

It’s believed the man then fled the scene and used the victim’s credit card to make purchases at a convenience store in South Melbourne.

Investigators have released images of a man they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries.
