Kiama Council
Kiama Council's Leisure Centre has today re-opened after it received a bomb threat.
Staff acted promptly to notify police and evacuate the building. Police attended the site for a full investigation.
All members of the public were safely evacuated and Kiama Council thanks NSW Police, our staff and visitors for their swift action and assistance in following instructions.
Kiama Leisure Centre closed to the public while the Police conducted their work. Police then cleared the site to re-open.
Unfortunately this impacted the Combat Australia Boxing and Kickboxing MMA Tournament that was taking place at Kiama Leisure Centre today. However, the Tournament will now resume.
