Do you have a child ready for kindergarten in 2025? Wyndham City is holding two open days at its kindergartens for you to visit.
Families can visit any of the participating kindergartens between 5-7pm on Wednesday 6 March to help choose where to register your child for 2025.
A second open day will be held on Saturday 4 May between 9.30am-12.30pm.
All children who turn three or four years old by 30 April 2025 are eligible to attend a kindergarten program in 2025.
Registrations for the first round of offers for 2025 open online from Friday 1 March and close on Friday 31 May.
Wyndham City's Learning City portfolio holder, Councillor Jasmine Hill, reassures families that the kindergarten enrolment process is inclusive, offering equal opportunities for all.
"Applications for places are open throughout the designated period, with each received application considered equally in the first round of offers, regardless of submission time," Cr Hill said.
"Kindergarten is an important step in a child's life - research shows that kindergarten improves children's health and wellbeing, helps them to develop strong social skills and encourages a love of learning."
"The open days are an excellent opportunity for families to get the feel of the kindergartens they're visiting, speak to the educators and get details about session times, programs and activities offered."
