Know Your Treatment Options This Festive Season

Tasmanian Government

The Tasmanian Government is encouraging people to prepare for a safe and healthy festive period by planning ahead and knowing the available treatment options for medical care.

While many Tasmanians will be enjoying time with family and friends, hospitals and ambulance services typically experience an increase in demand through the holiday season.

Minister for Health, Mental Health and Wellbeing, Bridget Archer, urged Tasmanians to make a health plan for a safe and healthy holiday period.

"Now is the time to fill prescriptions you may need over the coming weeks and complete any health follow-ups such as blood tests or scans," Minister Archer said.

"Make sure you check your doctor or healthcare provider's availability over the festive period, as they may have different operating hours.

"If you do need medical care or support, there are a range of community-based health services that can provide advice or treatment for non-emergency issues.
