Knox BMX Park Reopens

Riders in Knoxfield have a reason to celebrate, with the completion of major works at Knox BMX Park.

The works, which included significant drainage improvements and track resurfacing, were undertaken to solve long-standing issues with water damage that often forced the park's gates to close for several days after rain. Previously, the poor drainage meant it could take three to four days for the track to dry, frustrating users and prompting frequent service requests from the community.

The upgrades mean fewer closures, fewer maintenance issues, and more opportunities for the community to ride.

Works were delivered through collaboration between the Knox BMX Club, Council, and the Australian Government. A total of $300,000 in funding was received through the Australian Government's Roads to Recovery (RTR) and Local Roads and Community Infrastructure (LRCI) programs, enabling the park to be brought to a higher standard for all users.

The BMX Park welcomes riders of all ages and skill levels!
