Following the successful removal of the old bridge earlier this month, the design for the new bridge has now been finalised and the off-site fabrication has commenced.
Key features include:
- Increased deck width to improve shared path use
- Improved decking with increased slip resistance and reduced impact to the surrounding environment
- Corrosion resistant components
- Improved safety barriers
We are extremely proud to acknowledge the local suppliers being utilised for this project. The contractor is based in Wantirna South and will be using local sub-contractors.
Unfortunately, the recent shutdown of the construction industry has impacted the delivery of the bridge. However, we are currently working with our contractor to ensure that the project recommences at the earliest possible time. We are still on track to deliver the new bridge before the end of the year.
