  • Stay home, save lives
  • Labor Leader Rebecca White today reacted with sadness to the news that a fourth Tasmanian has died of COVID-19.

Ms White extended her condolences to the family and friends of the latest victim.

"My heart goes out to the family of the latest victim, their friends and the medical staff who are working tirelessly every day to save lives.

"This is another stark reminder that COVID-19 is deadly.

"We should all realise by now that COVID-19 doesn't discriminate. It is not a distant threat – it is within our community right now.

"We can all play a part in stopping the spread of this disease by staying home.

"At a time when we would usually be enjoying holidays it's a small sacrifice to make to prevent more deaths.

"So please stay at home – because the life you save may just be the person you love most in the world."
