Labor has delivered a $27 million transformation of Bendigo Stadium - creating bigger and better modern facilities for local athletes, clubs and major events.
Minister for Sport Steve Dimopoulos today announced the completion of the major redevelopment at Bendigo's premier sporting venue.
The upgrades have been unveiled just in time for the return of the five-day NBL Blitz, bringing all 10 NBL teams to Bendigo Stadium to train and play ahead of the 2026-27 season.
The redevelopment was funded through Labor's Regional Sports Infrastructure Program, which is delivering better sporting facilities for communities across regional Victoria.
The new building features fully accessible change facilities, a dedicated entrance, solar panels and a back-up generator.
Rainwater harvesting, energy-efficient lighting, native landscaping and smart ventilation will boost efficiency and reduce the stadium's environmental footprint.
The project has been delivered in partnership with the City of Greater Bendigo and Bendigo Stadium Limited, with Development Victoria overseeing delivery.
Bendigo Stadium is one of three projects in the Bendigo region and one of 18 projects across regional Victoria funded through the Regional Sports Infrastructure Program.
A new pavilion and arena at the Bendigo Showgrounds, and new fields and upgrades at the Bendigo Bowls Club and Bendigo Croquet Club are also being delivered through the program.
Labor has invested more than $155 million supporting community sport infrastructure and participation, because we know sport connects communities and builds champions.
Labor's investments are giving more Victorians the chance to get active and enjoy the sports they love.
