Rockhampton Regional Council has helped keep lifesaving services soaring, waiving CapRescue's landing fees for the past 12 months.
Council reimbursed $60,747.48 in landing fees to support the lifesaving missions the service performs.
Deputy Mayor Drew Wickerson said the service was vital to providing medical care to all corners of the Rockhampton region and beyond.
"Council has proudly supported CapRescue for 20 years, and since 2006 we've waived $462,165.39 for the service," Cr Wickerson said.
"The crew can respond to multiple missions a day which can vary from hospital transfers to car accidents or snake bites in rural and remote locations.
"Sometimes CapRescue also goes to neighbouring regions to provide assistance as well, so doing what we can to keep this service in the air is not only vital for our region but right across the state."
Acting CapRescue CEO Kirsty Wooler said Rockhampton Regional Council's ongoing support was particularly meaningful as CapRescue marked 30 years of lifesaving operations in 2026.
"For 20 of CapRescue's 30 years, Rockhampton Regional Council has stood alongside us, and that long-term support has made a genuine contribution to keeping Rescue300 in the air for our community," Ms Wooler said.
"Waiving more than $60,000 in landing fees over the past 12 months allows those funds to instead contribute directly to the significant cost of maintaining a 24-hour aeromedical service.
"As we celebrate 30 years, partnerships like this are an important reminder that CapRescue has always been a service built with the support of the community we serve.
"We sincerely thank Rockhampton Regional Council and the Rockhampton community for continuing to help keep Rescue300 ready to respond when it's needed most."
