The Kamilaroi Highway has reopened between Curlewis and Breeza, south of Gunnedah, after being closed due to flooding.
In the Central West, Henry Parkes Way has reopened between Parkes and Bogan Gate, but remains closed between Bogan Gate and Condobolin.
Many other roads remain closed with motorists advised to avoid non-essential travel in flood-affected areas.
Motorists who need to travel are advised to take extra care, and be prepared for conditions to change quickly.
Major roads closed in the Central West include:
- The Newell Highway is closed between Forbes and Parkes.
- The Newell Highway is also closed between Forbes and Wyalong.
- The Escort Way is closed between Forbes and Cudal.
- Henry Parkes Way is also closed between Parkes and Manildra.
- Lachlan Valley Way is closed in Forbes, as well as between Forbes and Jemalong, and between Gooloogong and Cowra.
- Lachlan Valley Way is also closed between Legh Street and Morongla Road at Cowra.
- Mitchell Highway is closed in Molong.
- Henry Lawson Way is closed between Forbes and Grenfell.
- Canowindra Road is closed at Canowindra as well as at Cowra.
- The Mid Western Highway is closed at Back Creek.
- The Mid Western Highway is also closed at Erigolia, east of Rankin Springs.
- The Oxley Highway is closed in Warren.
- Kidman Way is closed at Wallanthery and at Nymagee, south of Cobar.
In the Riverina and the south:
- The Olympic Highway is open south of Wagga Wagga but a section of the highway at Culcairn is only open to four wheel drives and heavy vehicles.
- The Newell Highway is closed between Jerilderie and Gillenbah.
- The Sturt Highway is closed between Collingullie and Darlington Point.
- The Sturt Highway is also closed near Gum Creek, west of Darlington Point.
- The Sturt Highway is closed to light vehicles just west of Hay, but remains open to 4WDs and heavy vehicles.
- The Riverina Highway is also closed at Coreen, north of Corowa.
- The Riverina Highway and Federation Way are closed between Hopefield and Urana.
In the state's north and north west:
- The Kamilaroi Highway is also closed between Cryon and Walgett, and between Walgett, Brewarrina and Bourke.
- The Castlereagh Highway is closed between the Gwydir Highway and Montkeila Street in Walgett.
- The Gwydir Highway is closed on the eastern side of Collarenebri.
- The Cobb Highway is closed between Wilcannia and Booligal.
In addition to state managed roads, some local roads managed by councils may also be affected.
