Latest TDU winner's paver given thumbs up by 2019 winner

UCI WorldTour cyclist Grace Brown happened by her freshly laid winner's paver in Stirling this morning and was delighted by the find. Her paver, which commemorates her stage 3 win in 2019, is featured in a decade of Stirling finishes along Mt Barker Road.

Women's Santos Tour Down Under Race Director, Kimberley Conte, was on hand to assist Mayor Jan-Claire Wisdom and acknowledged that Stirling is steeped in history for the men's race, and it is great for the women's competition to come to Stirling and "start to stamp our own history with this race".

Mayor Wisdom reiterated that the hills is "open for business" and hoped that people would use the Tour Down Under as a catalyst to return to the district.

The Walk of Champions can be seen in front of Stirling Oval, and Grace Brown will compete with her Mitchelton-SCOTT Team in the Subaru Stage 3 finish in Stirling this Saturday, 18 January 2020.
