Latrobe valley drivers caught following Operation Fahrenheit

State Highway Patrol officers have detected 34 drug drivers as part of Operation Fahrenheit over the weekend in the Latrobe Valley, Victoria Police say.

The operation was conducted over three days in various rural townships, with focus on impaired drivers and speeding offences.

Operation Fahrenheit, conducted in conjunction with the TAC, involves the enhanced enforcement operation in an effort to reduce the ongoing risks associated with both impairment and speed.

Throughout the weekend State Highway Patrol officers detected 34 drivers driving with drugs in their system, two drivers drink driving, eight people driving with disqualified or suspended driver licenses, and three people charged with criminal offences and a further 158 drivers issued with infringement notices.
