Launceston City Football Club is scoring goals for the community thanks to the Albanese Government's Play our Way program.
The club's facilities, which were built in 1979 for a single men's team, have been transformed through a $622,565 Play our Way grant.
With the finishing touches underway, the club will soon have modern and welcoming facilities to help encourage women and girls to play the sport they love.
Upgrades include two refurbished female changerooms and a new accessible parent's room.
A new education and wellbeing space within the club creates a space where women and girls feel welcomed, valued and a sense of belonging.
The club is now also more accessible with upgrades including an undercover walkway, concourse and ramps.
The Albanese Government's $200 million Play Our Way grant program supports local initiatives and ideas to overcome barriers that women and girls face in participating in sport.
