Launceston man charged with newsagency and pizza hut robberies, TAS

A 37-year-old Launceston man has been charged with Armed Robbery (x2) and Assault in connection with the robberies committed at the Invermay News and Lotto and the Pizza Hut at Mowbray on Saturday, 12 January 2019, Tasmania Police say.

He has been detained and will appear in an after-hours court this evening in the Launceston Magistrates Court.

Police would like to thank the public for all their assistance with both matters.
