Police have charged a Launceston man with Wounding following an assault in West Launceston last night, Tasmania Police say.
Around 11pm police responded to an incident on Merrys Lane where a 37-year-old West Launceston man had sustained multiple injuries. He was transported to the Launceston General Hospital with non-life threatening injuries including a puncture wound to his left cheek.
The 56-year-old Launceston man will appear before the Launceston Magistrates Court tonight.
