Launch of QPS' Multicultural Network

Today, in celebration of Multicultural Queensland Month, the Queensland Police Service (QPS) launched the Multicultural Network, an internal initiative that supports multicultural employees within the Service.

The inclusion network was developed by the QPS Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) Consultative Group and promotes further diversity within the QPS.

Multiculturalism within the QPS means valuing diversity, fostering inclusion and building stronger relationships within the Service, for all sworn and unsworn members, and from all different cultural backgrounds.

Multicultural Queensland Month is celebrated in August to honour and showcase the diverse cultural heritage of Queensland, and is aimed at promoting unity, acceptance, and cultural appreciation of the difference communities throughout the State and their contributions to society.
