Learner Driver Charged After Ingleburn Chase, Crash

A teenage boy will face court following a pursuit and a crash in Sydney's south west last night.

Just after 9.20pm yesterday (Monday 1 June 2026), officers attached to Traffic and Highway Patrol Command were patrolling on Campbelltown Road, Bardia, when they attempted to stop a grey sedan.

When it failed to stop as directed, a pursuit was initiated on Williamson Road, Ingleburn.

The pursuit continued along Williamson Road, Brooks Road, before the vehicle crashed into a house on Mcdonald Road, Ingleburn, where the driver – a 17-year-old boy – was arrested.

The occupants of the house were not injured.

He was taken to Campbelltown Police Station where he was charged with drive motor vehicle while licence suspended, learner driver no display "L" plates as prescribed, learner not accompanied by driver/police officer/tester, and police pursuit – not stop – drive dangerously.

He was granted conditional bail to appear at Children's Court on Tuesday 23 June 2026.

His licence was suspended.
