Learner driver charged with special range drink-driving in Woolooware

A learner driver has been charged with driving unaccompanied and special range drink-driving in Woolooware over the weekend, NSW Police say.

About 12.05am yesterday, officers from Miranda Local Area Command stopped a white Toyota Corolla displaying P-plates on Gannons Road, for a random breath test.

The driver, an 18-year-old, was subject to a random breath test and allegedly returned a positive reading.

Further investigations revealed that the driver was a learner driver, and was unaccompanied.

The driver was arrested and taken to Miranda Police Station where he was subjected to a breath analysis and allegedly returned a reading of 0.02.

He was charged with special range drink-driving, and learner unaccompanied and is due to face Sutherland Local Court on 20 October 2016.
