Learner driver flying solo

A learner driver forgot one or two of the rules of driving in Narre Warren South today.

State Highway Patrol police detected a black Holden sedan allegedly travelling at 118km/h in a 60km/h zone on Fox Road about 12.30pm.

The car was intercepted, and the 17-year-old learner driver was unaccompanied and was not displaying his L plates.

The Narre Warren teenager had his car impounded for 30 days at a cost of $1019.

He will also be charged on summons with drive at a speed dangerous, exceed speed limit and other traffic related offences.
