Spring is just around the corner, and what better time to dive into fitness than now.
The Fremantle Leisure Centre has plenty of options including the pool, gym and group classes… and now a new café.
Leisure and Bean is serving up all the café favourites seven days a week.
From freshly-baked banana bread, brownies and raw balls to bagels, toasties and salads. There are even chicken nuggets and chips for the kids.
Owners Wally and Annie have hit the ground running.
"It's been less than a fortnight since our doors opened, but we've been welcomed with open arms and lots of positive vibes from customers and staff alike," Wally said.
The couple previously ran Little Stove café in Bicton.
"We thoroughly enjoy and embrace the hospitality industry, and we like a challenge. So, it's a good feeling being back in the game and being part of this amazing Freo community.
"We couldn't have asked for more and we're surprised how many of our old customers from the Bicton café have come to say hello."
While the coffees are best consumed on the sunny poolside deck, customers don't have to enter the Leisure Centre to get their fix, with a service window opening onto Shuffrey Street for passers-by to grab and go.
Leisure and Bean is open daily from 7am to 2pm.
