Police are appealing for public assistance to help locate Leo Ellis.
The 43-year-old is wanted on warrant for assault related matters.
He is Aboriginal and described as 170cm tall with a solid build.
Ellis is known to frequent the Preston, Reservoir and Heidelberg areas.
Investigators have released an image of Ellis in the hope that someone may have information on his current whereabouts.
