Liberals And Nationals Secure Release Of Secret CFMEU Corruption Scandal Documents

Liberal Party Victoria
The Victorian Liberals and Nationals have today successfully passed a Parliamentary documents motion requiring the Allan Labor Government to release secret documents relating to Labor's $15 billion CFMEU scandal.

Documents included in the motion include written warnings, advice and Ministerial briefs between the Department of Transport and Planning and then former Minister for Transport Infrastructure, Jacinta Allan, relating to CFMEU corruption.

The documents are required to be produced by the Leader of the Government in the Legislative Council, Jaclyn Smyes, within three weeks.

Liberal Member for Southern Metropolitan Region, David Davis, said: "This is not only the largest corruption scandal in Victoria's history, but the largest cover up too.

"The Allan Labor Government is rotten to the core and this corrupt activity deserves greater scrutiny. The community is entitled to know what warnings and advice was provided to Jacinta Allan and when?

"Only a Wilson Liberal and Nationals Government will establish a Royal Commission into CFMEU misconduct and strengthen IBAC's powers to chase down every cent."
