Ms Linda Scott, a deeply experienced chair and board director, has been appointed to the Board of the NSW Environment Protection Authority (EPA) for the next five years.
Ms Linda Scott currently chairs the Local Government Grants Commission, and industry superannuation fund CareSuper. She also serves as the Deputy Chair of Industry Innovation and Science Australia (IISA) and is a Director of the Australian Council of Superannuation Investors (ACSI).
A former Deputy Lord Mayor of Sydney, she was elected to the City of Sydney for three terms and represented Australian local governments at National Cabinet.
As a Councillor, Ms Scott served as the President of the Australian Local Government Association and was the first woman to serve as the Local Government NSW President. She has championed for local interests on a range of subcommittees across Ministerial Councils, intergovernmental and specialist bodies including the NSW Environmental Trust and the CSIRO's External Advisory Group on Ending Plastic Waste.
EPA Chair Rayne de Gruchy said Ms Scott's experience across all levels of government and passion for innovation will be invaluable to the organisation's strategic direction.

Ms Scott joins the EPA Board following the recent appointment of Adjunct Professor Mary Haines, further strengthening the Board's depth of expertise and commitment to environmental leadership.
