Littleproud thanks outgoing RIC Chair

Minister for Rural Finance David Littleproud has thanked the Inaugural Chair of the Regional Investment Corporation Board, David Foster, who has resigned from his role.

Minister Littleproud said Mr Foster played a fundamental role in getting the RIC up and running for people in need.

"David laid the foundations for the Regional Investment Corporation, an organisation that is integral to Australian agriculture," Minister Littleproud said.

"I thank him for his hard work and determination to provide practical support to rural communities, helping both regional economies and agricultural production grow.

"The RIC provides tailored loans to farmers helping them improve their long-term profitability.

"The RIC has approved more than 244 farm business loans worth $233 million.

"Current RIC Board member, Prue Bondfield, will be the acting Chair until a permanent replacement is appointed."
