Liverpool Council Asbestos Update

At Pye Hill reserve, the remediation work has been completed, Council is waiting on the reports and we will soon start laying topsoil and turf. We should soon receive the formal clearance certificates.

The stockpile at Ernie Smith Reserve has been investigated and Council has received the clearance certificate, which means it is safe for the public.

At Rickard Road at Chipping Norton, fencing and signage remains in place as Council plans the remediation work, which is expected to start in early November.

Council has received preliminary results indicating that no asbestos was found at Stroud Park.

Preliminary results have been received for Ashcroft, where some asbestos contamination has been identified. The affected areas remain fenced off and signposted. Local residents will be updated about the remediation work.

Liverpool Council is going to great lengths to ensure the safety of residents and park users. We are keeping residents informed as work progresses.
