Lives Lost revised: Moppa

The number of lives lost on our South Australian roads has been revised following an investigation into the death of a man at Moppa near Nuriootpa earlier this month.

Just before 10.30am on Tuesday 14 November, police and emergency services were called to the intersection of Moppa Road and Golf Course Road after reports that a car had left the road and collided with a tree.

The death of the 74-year-old Lewiston man, who was the driver and sole occupant of the Mitsubishi station wagon, has been determined to be due to medical issues.

As a result, the man's death will not be counted in the number of 'Lives Lost' on SA roads.

The current number of lives lost is 104 compared to 63 at the same time last year.
