Members of the farming and agriculture industry are invited to attend the Mid North Coast Agriculture Conference 'River to the Sea' to be held in Kempsey on 28 July 2022.

The conference provides the opportunity for local farmers and the agriculture industry to meet and identify more ways to work together to achieve longer term sustainability.

Manager Commercial Business, Gayleen Burley, said the conference will showcase our region while providing opportunities to make stronger connections with other local businesses in the industry.

'We're excited to present high profile guest speakers in person in Kempsey to increase our local industry's resilience to changing climate conditions," said Ms Burley.

"Supporting local businesses to make connections to help improve wellbeing and resilience is a big part of the speaker program. It's also an opportunity to celebrate the vast range of locally produced products from our region that have been developed or were diversified during the drought and now post drought."

ABC's Landline presenter, Pip Courtney, will be your MC and keynote speaker. Pip will be joined by other well-known Australians including Australian cricket legend Steve Waugh. Topics to be discussed include:

  • Overcoming adversity and building resilience in your business
  • Agricultural sustainability
  • Longer term impacts of natural disasters
  • Agricultural tourism opportunities
  • Farm safety and more

Tickets are $25 per person for the full day conference including morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea, post conference drinks and nibbles. This event has been subsidised by Foundation for Rural Regional Renewal (FRRR) through funding from the Australia Government Future Drought Fund.

Don't miss this opportunity to create greater local connections and increase resilience to changing climate conditions for your business. This value packed agriculture and farming conference will be held Thursday 28 July at the Slim Dusty Centre.
