Bayside Council is participating in Local Government Week 2025, which runs from 4 to 10 August.
The week provides an opportunity to raise awareness about the range of services Councils deliver and the role they play in supporting communities across New South Wales.
Local Government Week encourages a broader understanding of Council responsibilities, which extend beyond traditional infrastructure and regulatory functions to services that contribute to community wellbeing, access, and engagement. These include public amenities, recreational spaces, libraries, childcare, and community events, among others.
As part of this year's campaign, Bayside Council will be highlighting five service areas that deliver valuable contributions to the community on Council's social media channels.
