REFLECTIONS Holidays is expanding beyond holiday accommodation by also opening its venue spaces for event hire – from corporate retreats, weddings and festivals to school excursions and sports events – in some of New South Wales' most spectacular locations.

With 40 holiday parks on Crown land in stunning coastal and inland locations and 17 established venue spaces, Reflections has strong potential to tap into the events sector with profits to be reinvested back into the holiday parks and reserves.

From the romantic setting of Norah Head Lighthouse Reserve for weddings, the premium venue of Wilderluxe Lake Keepit, ideal for corporate retreats, and inland parks like Lake Burrendong and Copeton Waters with nature-based activities like boating, golf and mountain biking, there are venues to suit many event needs.

Events can play a vital role in the economic development of the tourism sector providing opportunities for growth and destination branding while supporting spending and jobs in accommodation, food, transport, retail, and entertainment.

"What really sets Reflections apart is the location of our parks nestled near some of the state's most beautiful natural spots and waterside attractions, with access to function centres and nature reserves and, of course, our range of park accommodation," Reflections CEO Nick Baker said.

"We believe life's better outside and there's no better way to stage an event in our view than mixing it with the best of nature – scenic surrounds, the chance to incorporate exercise or just relaxing and exploring and connecting with colleagues or loved ones, depending on the occasion."

Lara Coffey, an Event Manager who recently helped stage the Rise and Shine Wellness Festival at Norah Heads Lighthouse Reserve, said the venue was the perfect setting and the stallholders who attended were thrilled with the response.

"We would love to organise another event there soon – the staff went above and beyond to help us in the lead up and all through the event day and we couldn't be more thankful," Ms Coffey said.

Minister for Lands and Property and Tourism Steve Kamper said Reflections Holidays parks continue to show how Crown land can be activated to benefit local communities, tourism operators and visitors alike.

"By opening up its picturesque venues for events as well as holidays, Reflections is helping more people experience the natural beauty of regional NSW while supporting jobs and economic growth," Mr Kamper said.

"This expansion into event hire is a smart and inclusive use of public land, with all profits going back into the reserves while creating further opportunities for local operators, event organisers and educators."
