The beat goes on for the City of Logan's established and emerging musical talent.
Logan Live Music Month will return in July after the success of last year's inaugural event.
The month-long celebration not only helps raise awareness of local performers, it also helps support Logan businesses and venues.
A sample of the 2019 program was showcased live to the media this morning at Monkey Tree Brewing Co at Underwood.
Logan City Council Community Services Director Katie Barton-Harvey said a wonderful month of live music had been celebrated in Logan in July last year and had unearthed some impressive new local performers.
"We look forward to repeating that next month with this year's line-up of 45 acts," Ms Barton-Harvey said.
Logan Live has been supported by the State Government through Arts Queensland's Queensland Arts Showcase Program and by the Regional Arts Services Network, a State Government initiative through Arts Queensland in coordination with Brisbane Multicultural Arts Centre (BEMAC).
The community can get an advance taste of the Logan Live Music Month program when it is officially launched at Monkey Tree Brewing Co from 3pm to 5pm on Saturday, June 15.
This live showcase will feature artists Sierra Faith, Majelen, Chris Tamwoy, Chris Connelly, Briana Dinsdale, BAM Duo and 2019 Queensland Music Award winner Tokyo Twilight.
It will be followed from 5pm to 8.30pm by BEMAC's Big Night In featuring performances by Chris Tamwoy, Katherine Waria, Chong Ali, Anisa Nandaula, Ethan Enoch, Mayan Fox and the HOMELANDS tour featuring an all-star cast of Tenzin Choegyal, Kween G, Shen Flindell, Yasmin Ibrahim Mohamed and Marcello Milani.
There will also be street art by Phantast and dance performances by District Studios.
Ms Barton-Harvey said the June 15 event was free to the community and would provide an insight into what could be expected during Logan Live Music Month.
"It is set to be a wonderful afternoon of live music leading into a month full of fantastic performances," she said.
"Logan is home to performers from a whole range of musical genres and line-ups and that diversity will be showcased during Logan Live.
As part of the launch, a gig guide featuring 88 upcoming musical performances in the City of Logan has gone live today.
The guide - which can be accessed via loganlive.com.au/gigguide - will feature details of all of the live performances that are the foundation of Logan Live Music Month.
Ms Barton-Harvey said she encouraged everyone to check out the gig guide online and support the local artists.
